Intermodal Freight Transportation
 Individuals who wish to gain a solid intermodal industry background and develop industry technical knowledge with pragmatic skills should take this course, which also addresses the rapid evolution and globalization of transportation systems. Topics include the connections between intermodalism and logistics management; introduction to modal/intermodal characteristics & operations; government regulation and deregulation; domestic vs. international intermodalism; intermodal movement components and cargo documentation; the role of third party providers; equipment management and control; and a field visit to the Port of New York and New Jersey. |
