Crisis Management & Human Behavior (8 Hours)
This course was developed to train ship officers aboard passenger ships in the area of crisis management. Topics addressed include organizing the safe movement of vehicles and passengers when embarking and disembarking; organizing shipboard emergency procedures and optimize use of resources; control passengers and other personnel during an emergency situation; and establish and maintain effective communications. Any applicant who has successfully completed the course will satisfy the training requirements of Table A-V/2 and Paragraph 5 of Section A-V/2 of the STCW code for passenger ships other than RO-RO passenger ships. This course is offered in conjunction with Crowd Management.
