Acquire a solid understanding of current industry information on coatings and corrosion control for Maritime Structures and Vessels.  It will provide a practical and comprehensive overview of the fundamentals of corrosion and the use of protective coatings.  This class will provide students with information on reducing construction and maintenance costs.  Development of coating specifications, contract planning, environmental regulations, coating failure analysis, assessment and inspection of coatings, industry practices, new technology, and economics of coatings will be covered.  Using on-site vessel inspection will be the cornerstone of this course.  This course is taught by industry experts familiar with the unique marine environment.
