Upon completion, personnel in pay grades E5, E6 and E7 (all rates), will obtain military knowledge to enhance their Navy careers and prepare them for the advancement examination.  This institution recognizes the Navy’s increasing emphasis on advanced military knowledge as well as rate-specific knowledge.  The curriculum covers the basic knowledge required for Navy personnel and provides material that directly relates to the Navy standards.  Such standards are found in the Manual of Navy Enlisted Manpower and Personnel Classification and Occupational Standards (Volume 1), NAVPERS 18068F.  Also covered are current examination topics listed on the Bibliography for Advancement such as uniform regulations, anti-terrorism instructions, commissioning programs, and quality of life/health programs.
