Hull Technician (HT/SW) - Advanced
 Introduction to advanced welding and joining processes and techniques, including the welding of plate, piping, and tubing in all positions with the GTAW, GMAW, and SMAW processes. Introduction to weld testing and evaluation methods, performed on test samples prepared in the lab. Plate and pipe samples tested in accordance with established code standards, and welding qualification tests and procedures demonstrated on student samples. Welding performed on common industrial metal types, including aluminum, steel, and stainless steel, using weld equipment commonly used in the maintenance, repair, and shop fabrication fields. |
