Refresh the basics and expand your knowledge in the YN rate.  The course will demonstrate the formatting procedures for validating the Officer Distribution Control Report (ODCR).  The course will cover the policy and procedures of the Navy’s Performance and Evaluation and Counseling System.  Provide exercises and illustrations in proper FITREP Writing, the importance of Survivor Benefit Plan (SBP), and cover the importance of the Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty (DD-214).  Some course material will be extracted from JAG Manual, Manual for Courts Martial, and Naval Military Personnel Manual.  This is an excellent class to hone your Yeoman skills and introduce them to materials specific to the requirements for the next advancement examination.
