Designed for E5 and above, and E4s who have taken Operations Specialist (Basic), students will explore the major functions of the Combat Information System and gain an introduction to the instruments used by an Operations Specialist.  This course is a hands-on operation and is designed to increase the performance level of the OS rate.  It involves intense instruction in the following areas:  Forty (40) hours of advanced Radar Instruction including; Radar Theory, determining risk of collision, course and speed to intercept, and maneuvering boards.  Advanced chart plotting and navigational techniques will also be covered in detail.  This is an excellent class for Navy Reservists who seek to advance in the OS rate.
