Through lecture and hands-on operation, all topics covered are directed to improve the performance level of the students.  Areas of instruction include:  Mission and Functions of CIC, CIC Displays, Basic Search and Rescue, Radar Fundamentals, Radar Display Equipment, Plotting, Maneuvering Boards, Scope Interpretation, Identification Equipment, Dead Reckoning Systems (DRT), Internal Communications, Logs, Records and Publication, Charts, and Radar Navigation.
