Diesel Engine Auxiliary Systems
This five (5) day course is offered to all engineers who wish to study both the theory behind auxiliary systems operations as well as practical maintenance and repair. The class is comprised of both classroom and laboratory exercises focusing on auxiliary systems such as hydraulic systems, refrigeration systems, evaporators, waste heat boilers/auxiliary boilers and deck machinery. The objective of the course is to provide the individual with a thorough working knowledge of auxiliary systems, to enable them to conduct a safe, efficient engine operation. The emphasis throughout the course is placed on the operational aspects of engine room operation. |
