Basic M9 Pistol Qualification
|
This two-week course is designed to provide basic marksmanship fundamentals skills to personnel inexperienced with the M9 pistol. This course will improve the marksmanship proficiency of students and prepare them to successfully complete the DON handgun qualification course and be competent with the M9 pistol at their gaining command. The Navy Handgun Qualification Course is executed in accordance with OPNAVINST 3591.1E. Students may qualify for the Navy Pistol Marksmanship Ribbon, Navy Sharpshooter Ribbon, or the Navy Expert Pistol Medal.

Students may not have any disqualifying convictions for domestic violence described in DD Form 2760. Successful completion of the Navy Knowledge On-line Small Arms course is strongly recommended. (All Rates E1 - E7) (Officers not eligible to attend this course) |
